Read around L36. Rents are advertised rents; the sale price is the average of completed sales in the last twelve months.

Huyton, in the borough of Knowsley to the east of Liverpool, offers rents below the city average, with a housing mix of interwar and postwar semi-detached houses alongside some older terraced streets near the town centre. This gives landlords a reasonably wide choice of property types at relatively accessible price points.

Huyton station provides direct rail services towards Liverpool Lime Street, and the M62 passes just to the south of the area, making it a practical base for commuters heading into the city or across to Manchester and other parts of the North West. Huyton town centre has a retail park and a range of everyday shops, giving the area a self-contained, local feel.

Demand comes largely from working families and commuters who want more space for their money than they would get closer to the city centre, along with some tenants connected to the industrial estates around Knowsley. Huyton does not see significant student demand, and tenancies here tend to run longer than in areas nearer the universities.

For a landlord, Huyton's combination of affordability and motorway access makes it a reasonably steady rental market, with semi-detached family houses usually the easiest properties to let. As with other more affordable areas, ongoing maintenance of older housing stock is worth factoring into any budget, since it will affect how easily a property re-lets over time. Landlords should also note that Huyton's retail and leisure investment in the town centre has helped keep the area attractive to local tenants who want convenient, everyday amenities close to home.

Finding your tenant

We manage, we do not let. When your property is empty we appoint one of the best letting agents in your area to find the tenant. Their fee is agreed with you in writing before anything starts, and Caso adds nothing to it. We brief the agent, approve the marketing, check every applicant's referencing, handle the move-in and protect the deposit. You deal with one company throughout.

  • Agent chosen on results, not on who we know
  • Fee agreed in writing before marketing starts
  • Caso takes nothing from the agent
