How we handle your personal data.
Caso is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with property management services.
What we collect
- Identity and contact details for landlords, tenants and enquirers.
- Property, tenancy, compliance and financial records.
- Right to Rent and identity verification evidence.
- Correspondence, repair reports and photographs you send us.
Why we use it
- To perform our contract with you, including collecting and paying rent.
- To meet legal obligations: Right to Rent, deposit protection, HMRC and licensing.
- For our legitimate interests in running and improving the service.
Who we share it with
Deposit schemes, referencing providers, contractors attending your property, HMRC and local authorities where required, and our software suppliers acting as processors. We do not sell personal data.
Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap when you open a property report.
How long we keep it
Tenancy and financial records are kept for six years after the tenancy ends. Right to Rent evidence is kept for one year after the tenancy ends, as required.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing. Contact us via the contact page. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
