Sale is a Trafford suburb south of Manchester city centre and rents here sit above the Greater Manchester average, supported by its transport links and its mix of semi-detached and detached family housing. The area also has a growing number of apartment developments close to the town centre and the Bridgewater Canal, offering a wider choice of property type than many neighbouring suburbs.
Trafford Council has no selective licensing scheme currently. A shared home let to five or more people from more than one household still needs a mandatory HMO licence. A landlord buying in Sale should weigh the sale price against the achievable rent before the yield is meaningful.
